Season one of DOOM PATROL on the DC Universe took the world by storm. With interesting characters, adult humor and so much more, when the season ended people have been chomping at the bit for the second season. This is especially since TITANS has already aired its 2nd season and currently filming its third.

Now there is some exciting casting news coming out about the team of doomed souls (Abigail Shapiro will play Dorothy Spinner) and this announcement has a major connection to one of the not so likely heroes.

Karen Obilom (GAMES PEOPLE PLAY)  has landed a recurring role as Roni Evers according to DEADLINE.  Evers is reportedly “a military veteran with a mysterious past who Vic Stone/Cyborg (Wade) meets while attending a PTSD support group.”

It seems that the two characters may start off bonding over their traumatic experiences, and it will eventually go wrong. Obilom appears to be playing a gender-bent version of Ronald Evers, a character that eventually becomes one of Cyborg’s foes and a cyborg himself.

DOOM PATROL season 2 does not currently have a premiere date, but Diane Guerrero, Brendan Frasier, Jovian Wade, Timothy Dalton, April Bowlby, and Matt Bomer have been confirmed to return.
