Marvel Studios is still amping up its star-studded roster and this latest addition proves that. VARIETY is reporting that Hailee Steinfeld is currently in talks to star in the upcoming Disney Plus series, HAWKEYE.
If this becomes official Steinfeld will join Jeremy Renner who reprises his role as Hawkeye aka Clint Barton, the now and arrow using Avenger and Steinfeld would play the role of Kate Bishop, his daughter. In the comics Kate Bishop eventually takes up the mantle in which her father held and joins the team of the Young Avengers.
Knowing how Disney and Marvel studios like to fully invest in their stars this more than likely would not be a one-off series for Steinfeld. Starring in the series would likely represent a long-term relationship with Marvel studios and it is reasonable to assume that the Bishop character would eventually spin off into either her own standalone series or even appear in the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Even after the blockbuster cast announcement we were given about Marvel Studios THE ETERNALS at San Diego Comic Con is seems as if that roster is still expanding. “Crazy Rich Asians” star Gemma Chan is in talks to join THE ETERNALS this is according to Variety.
Chan would join previously announced cast members Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek and Kumail Nanjiani. Chan is no stranger to the Marvel Cinematic Unverse, earlier this year she portrayed Minn-Erva in CAPTAIN MARVEL with Brie Larson and Jude Law. Its unknown if she will be playing the same role in THE ETERNALS.
Variety’s sources are saying that Chan’s part in THE ETERNALS would be a completely different role, which if true, would mark one of the first times a star will have played two different characters in the same cinematic universe.
People have to separate the actors that were in the Marvel Netflix series’ (i.e Alfre Woodard, Mahershala Ali, etc) as they are now being considered connected yet separated.
Ladies and gentlemen, nerds, blerds and the rest, the resident super villain, Jay Washington is back with the 34th edition of The Mad Titan Podcast and this time we are in the thick of it as Jay recaps all of the happenings in the marvel and DC live action and cinematic universes after the events of the 50th anniversary of San Diego Comic Con.
With a episode so jam packed Jay went out and got someone just as nerdy….let’s stop lying they were both on the train together and this should have been happened. Jay is with the founder of Geeks Of Color and the social media manager for Collider Video, Dorian Parks.
This turns out to be one of the wildest and rawest episodes as they record while aboard an over sold train heading from San Diego. They get deep into all of the major news to come out of Hall H, Ballroom 20 and more. Oh yeah there are a few drinks involved.
So sit back, relax and get ready for an overload of insanity in this wild episode.
Coming after a streaming viewer record breaking debut weekend of season 3 of STRANGER THINGS on Netflix, one of its stars is seemingly headed next into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) has joined the cast of Marvel’s The Eternals, Variety reports. The actress will join the previously announced cast of Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, Richard Madden, Ma Dong-Seok and Salma Hayek. Details on Brown’s character have not yet been revealed.
Marvel is expected to make some major announcements during its Hall H panel at San Diego Comic Con on Saturday, July 20th from 5:15pm-6:45pm. This will more than likely be one of them along with a full reveal of any other major cast members.
THE ETERNALS is set to begin production later this year and will be directed by Chloe Zhoa.
Since the announcement that there would be Marvel Cinematic Universe characters receiving there own individual limited series on the new Disney streaming service called DISNEY+. First there was the announcement of Loki and Scarlet Witch then it was followed up by Falcon and Winter Soldier. Now there is a rumor that the MCU’s most lovable pairs may be getting one.
Guardians of the Galaxy members Rocket and Groot are rumored to be next in line. Now this is completely a rumor at this point but is is being reported by That Hashtag Show has heard that there are plans in place for a Disney+ limited series featuring the smart-ass Raccoon and his sentient tree pal.
Though the VFX budget required to bring these characters to life means the show would undoubtedly be more costly to produce than the previously confirmed ones, we already know that the budgets for these Marvel spin-offs are expected to rival that of some blockbuster movies, so they’re clearly sparing no expense.
We’ll obviously have to see if this pans out, but there’s certainly a lot of potential here. Groot and Rocket were a team before the events of the first GOTG movie so the series could chart their early adventures without having to worry about Marvel Studios’ plans for Avengers 4 or Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Don’t you just love it when you hear “mystery role”? Doesn’t it get you hopes and anticipation just fired up for a project? Well this one is definitely one of them.
According to Variety, Hannah John-Kamen (Black Mirror, Game of Thrones, Killjoys) will join Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and co. in Marvel’s Ant-Man and The Wasp. Now her specific role as of now is being kept HEAVILY under wraps but Marvel is saying that it is a “key role”.
Apparently, Marvel had been meeting with actresses for this part for months before finally being “won over” by the 27-year-old Brit. Any ideas who she might be playing? Do you stick with just Ant-man villains or do you look further in the Marvel Universe.
Peyton Reed returns to helm Ant-Man and The Wasp from a script by Gabriel Ferrari. The movie is set for release on July 6, 2018.
