We now have our first look at Brandon Routh is suited up as Kingdom Come Superman from 1996 in this first-look photo from The CW. Routh who starred in SUPERMAN RETURNS (2006) is back in the cape once again as a greying older version of the Man of Steel for The CW’s upcoming CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS crossover event.
The different iteration of the symbol on his chest is that of the the compromised, world-weary version introduced in the landmark DC Comics saga KINGDOM COME . Routh will portray both Clark Kent and Superman along with still portraying Ray Palmer/The Atom on DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW in the annual CW Arrowverse crossover event.
Routh won’t be the only one flying up in the skies like a bird, like a plane, SMALLVILLE star Tom Welling as well as Tyler Hoechlin, who has been the Superman for the Arrowverse shows on The CW since being introduced in SUPERGIRL.
Burt Ward who is best known as being the first live action boy wonder, Robin in the 1966 Batman with the late Adam West as Batman has been confirmed to appear is the annual CW arrowverse crossover CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS.
As first broken at San -Diego Comic Con during the BATWOMAN panel It is not known yet. as to who he will portray or what episode he will be in.
Last night was the finale of the Annual Arrowverse crossover. This year’s theme was ELSEWORLDS and throughout all three episodes the running theme was The Monitor (Lamonica Garrett) telling that a “Crisis was coming”. Well we now know what that is leading to as it was teased in the finale of the crossover on Supergirl.
Check out the teaser below
Yes, we are getting the Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline. Which officially connects several items mentioned throughout The Flash. We have seen the news paper article since season 1 that talks about the Flash missing and vanishing in a “crisis”.
Also how in this current season, Nora West-Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy) mentions about how the Flash went missing. Clearly when it comes to the crossover next year, Psycho Pirate will play a key role with Doctor Deegan as he is the one that utters to Deegan in Arkham, ” Worlds will live, Worlds will Die and the universe will never be the same.”
Are you excited for the potential culmination of all of the breaches, crossovers and maybe in the inclusion of ALL of the DC television heroes that may include both Black Lightning and Titans possibly even Doom Patrol?
As if the Arrowverse Crossover couldn’t constantly pump up its fan base, the producers and writers have done it again.
The Green Arrow himself, Stephen Amell posted to his Instagram account that legendary film director, Wes Anderson will be directing one of the episodes for the CW cross over titled “Elseworlds”.
Check out the post below and be sure to leave your thoughts.
